    Hi

I came to your site by accident and went thru its contents. Yes, its heartening to know that you’ve painstakingly identified the fraud. Few Questions

Q1) Does it mean that auto driver is @ fault or is it fault of RTO?

Q2) By spending energy on this and being silent about
crores being siphoned @ top, are we not being Rupee wise
    Crores foolish?

Q3) Lastly, are we not propagating the sytem by exploiting those who are weaker to us?

      Hi KV

thanks for sending in the comment.

      To answer your questions:

      1. This seems like an RTO computation mistake.

      2. A start is important and so a basic issue is pointed out and in due course when we ( Adhikaar.com) are capable, we may handle bigger issues too.

      3. I did not understand your question 3, about ” exploiting those who are weaker to us”. The RTO has fixed a rate of Rs. 6.50 per km, so we have to get charged by that rate. If for RTO fault we get overcharged, we need to get that rectified, where is question of exploiting ?

Hope this clarifies, do let us know if further feedback.

Thanks very much for this info.

I suggest an on-line petition in addition to physical correspondence, since the RTO is already e-enabled.

I suggest filing a couple of RTIs to the RTO office framing questions like.

    1) Kindly provide the date of issue of circular instructing RTA authorised rates.
    2) Kindly provide the certified copies of the circulation of the same Traffic Police , Auto Associations& Press Releases ?
    3) Kindly provide the number of complaints received against the violation of the above circular wef from the date ( mention the date of issuance )
4 ) Kindly provide the certified copy of fine , penalty and action taken report against the numner of complaints received wrt point 3.
5 ) Kindly provide the certified copy of the list of errant , repeated defaulters violating the above notification.
6 ) Kindly provide the details of action taken/ not taken against the repeat defaulters. Please specify the reasons.

So on & forth..you could add many more such & send it across to many RTO as possible. This would definitely have a casacading effect dowm & raise the awareness……Thats my two cents on the issue.
